Harold Llyod (H. L.) Goodwin, Sr. ...
Funeral services for Harold Lloyd Goodwin Sr. will be held 10 a.m. Friday July 22, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Tahlequah with Rev. George Warren officiating. Committal service will follow at the Tahlequah City Cemetery Pavilion under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Harold Lloyd Goodwin Sr., the son of Chester Arthur and Delphia Jane (Keeter) Goodwin, was born September 7, 1922 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 18, 2016 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 11 days.

Lloyd served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served with the Big Red One and he was awarded a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He enjoyed helping Veterans over the years and sharing service stories and held many leadership positions, including National Vice Commander, National Committeeman, State Commander, State Finance Officer and State Adjutant of the Disabled American Veterans. Lloyd loved family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with all of his family. Lloyd never met a stranger. He was a talker and could stretch a story for a country mile. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and serving the church in many capacities like usher, Methodist Men, and Methodist Youth Fellowship Sponsor. From the 1960s to the 1990s Lloyd spent his time cattle farming. He enjoyed working with the Cherokee County Conservation District and was on their Board for 45 years until he retired in June of this year. He was also active on the County Fair Board and led the Cherokee Hills RC & D for 30 years. Lloyd spent a lot of time working with the community, touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Nadine Louise (Ausmus) Goodwin; and his brothers Watie Laverne Goodwin, Chester Junior Goodwin, Billy Joe Goodwin Sr., and James Earl Goodwin.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Carolyn Sue Goodwin Evans and husband Gale Edward of Tahlequah, and H.L. Goodwin Jr. and wife Debby of Springdale, AR; his sisters Freda Chuculate of Collinsville, OK and Nina Petty of Tulsa, OK; his brothers Max Goodwin and wife Sally of Newark, CA and Leon Goodwin and wife Pat of Stilwell, OK; his grandchildren Brian Edward Evans and wife Kerri of Bartlesville, OK, Barry Allen Evans and wife Sarah of Broken Arrow, OK, Rebekah Elaine Bennett and husband Jonathan of Fayetteville, AR, Joshua Lloyd Goodwin of Fayetteville, AR and John Caleb Goodwin of Springdale, AR and 6 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.

Buster Edward (Mack) Harris...
Buster Edward (Mack) Harris was born in Cookson, Oklahoma on February 11, 1928, to Benjamin and Stella (Leep) Harris. He passed away on May 5, 2016, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

He was employed with Bell Telephone and retired with over 34 years of service with them.

Mack was a World War II Veteran, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He would always have a smile on his face when friends or family came by. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Stella; three brothers, Johnny, Bud and Ben Harris.

Buster is survived by the love of his life, his wife of nearly 68 years, Lois (Ellis) Harris, of the home; four sons, Benjamin Edward Harris, Carroll L. Harris, Joe Mack Harris and wife Linda, and Nathan Mitchell Harris and wife Pamela; nine grandchildren, Olivia, Valerie, Rusty, Coleman, Julie, Jake, Andy, Zach and Callie; eleven great grandchildren; his sister, Virginia Carter and husband Dero; and many other friends and loved ones.

Mack loved his wife and children and he will be missed dearly by all.

Graveside services for Buster Edward (Mack) Harris are 10:00 am, Monday May 9, 2016 at Price Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Lawrence Gann and Reverend John Lee. Those serving as pallbearers are Jake Harris, Andy Harris, Rusty Harris, Zach Harris, Coleman Harris, and Josh Gilstrap. Honorary pallbearers are James Epperson, Dustin Davis, Dana Hazzard, Tim Harris and Calvin Foster. Final arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
